5K Resolution Run in Trent Woods

ENTRY FEES Entry fees are non-refundable and include a long-sleeved race t-shirt. Register online at or visit our website at    Registration by December 15th is $25.00 and guarantees a t-shirt in your size. After that, registration fee is $30.00 and t-shirt size is not guaranteed.

PACKET PICKUP Begins at 6:00 a.m. at the West of New Bern Fire Station in Trent Woods.

BABYSITTING SERVICE A babysitting tent, provided by the CHILL Club from New Bern High School, will be located in the registration area. This is a free service, but space is limited. Reservations are required.

PARKING Parking will be available at Garber United Methodist Church on Country Club Road and at Bangert Elementary School on Canterbury Road. THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE FIRE STATION OR TOWN HALL.

SHUTTLE SERVICE Shuttle service will run from Garber and Bangert beginning at 6:00 a.m. The shuttle will transport race participants to the registration area at the Fire Station. The last shuttle will run at 7:30 a.m. Return shuttles will begin departing the Fire Station at 9:30 am.

BAGGAGE A table will be set up in the registration area to accept pre-labeled runners’ bags. There is no fee for this service. The Resolution Run and its affiliates will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Items not retrieved by 1:00 p.m. on race day will be donated to a local charity. 

COURSE The course is pending USATF certification. Runners will be offered chip-timing using the ChampionChip system.

AWARDS All runners must be chip-timed to be eligible for an award. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, and the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories: under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39,

40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. No duplicate awards will be given.

KIDS’ FUN RUN This event will take place at approximately 11:15 a.m. and is open to kids 10 and under. Children must be registered to participate and should report to the starting area 15 minutes prior to their start time. Entry fee is $10 per child and includes a bib and a medal.

RAISES FUNDS FOR PROMISE PLACE All proceeds for this event go to Promise Place, a local nonprofit agency that helps children and adults who have suffered abuse. One out of 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Your participation makes it possible for Promise Place to give them the help they so desperately need.
